The Only Way to Heaven

"THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN" By the late Bro. Rick Michalinos

DESPITE THIS PERFECT AND GLORIOUS BEGINNING, there came a time when the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, chose to go against one of God's instructions to them. The consequences were immediate.  Their sin, the choice to disobey God, broke their once close friendship with Him. (Genesis 3)  Even worse, sin's eventual result was physical death, and Spiritual death, that meant eternal separation from their God and eternal judgment in Hell to pay for their sins!

WE HAVE ALL FOLLOWED IN THE FOOTSTEPS of Adam and Eve; inheriting that fallen sin nature from them.  From their day to ours, human history can be summed up in this way: "Because that, when they knew not God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened."  "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."  "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 1:21, 3:23, 6;23)

TWO THOUSAND YEARS AGO, God put a plan into action whereby fellowship and harmony between God and man could be restored!  Jesus Christ, God's Son, became one of us, YET WITHOUT SIN!  During His 33 year life on earth, Jesus Christ NEVER ONCE SINNED! (Hebrews 4:15)  Jesus Christ was qualified as the Perfect Sinless Substitute for all sinful mankind. (I Peter 2:24)

SO CHRIST'S DEATH ON THE CROSS was not an accident or mistake.  It was all planned by God before this world was created. (Titus 1:2, John 17:1-5)  By dying on the Cross, Jesus carried through with His goal and desire to pay the eternal death penalty for all guilty sinners; from the first man Adam to the last man that will ever live. One Sinless Man died for all sinfull mankind! (Romans 5:8)

THE BIBLE PUTS IT THIS WAY: "For God so Loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ), that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have Everlasting Life.  For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.  He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:16,17,18)

JESUS CHRIST NOT ONLY DIED FOR OUR SINS, but after three days and nights, He arose from the dead!  Amen!  This is the glorious Gospel or "Good News" of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 15:1-8)  We have a Savior who is Alive and seated at the right hand of God the Father. (Romans 8:34)  He conquered Death, Hell and the Grave not only for Himself, but for all that will repent and believe!

GOD'S SALVATION IS A FREE GIFT!  A Free Gift of Eternal Life to anyone that will, in repentance, genuinely place their faith in Him to be their personal Savior! Salvation does not depend on any works that we can now do or will do.  Christ has done all the work necessary for your salvation by His death on the Cross.

THE BIBLE AGAIN SAYS, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."  "For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the Gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast." (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8,9)  Remember, Salvation is a Free Gift!  When you repent of being a sinner, & trust in Christ as your personal savior, you will receive this wonderful Gift of Eternal Life!  "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye MAY KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." (John 3:36, I John 5:13)

WOULD YOU RIGHT NOW, (1) Acknowledge that you are a sinner, and that as a sinner you have sinned against God, (2) Understand that you stand before God guilty and condemned because of your sins, (3) And would you believe and agree with God, that judgment in a place called Hell is what you and I so rightly deserve, (4) Realize that through no works or good of your own can you pay for your sins or merit Heaven, (5) Accept that the forgiveness and payment of your sins are only provided through Jesus Christ and His death on the Cross, (6) and believe that Christ not only died, but was buried and arose from the grave and that He Lives Today? (7) Then right now, in your heart, would you recieve Jesus Christ as Your Personal Savior, to pay for your sins and to save you from Hell?

NOW, if you have genuinely repented of your sin, and put your trust in Christ as your Savior, YOU ARE SAVED, SEALED AND SECURE IN CHRIST FOREVER!(Acts 16:31)  You have received forgiveness of your sins and have been delivered from the penalty of your sins. Amen!  Not only are you saved NOW, but for ALL Eternity!

YOU CANNOT LOSE YOUR ETERNAL SALVATION! (John 10:28-30, John 6:37)

**NOW that you've been saved, I want to encourage you to find a good Baptist church in your area and join that church through baptism, (Acts 2:41) then get involved in the Lord's Work. (II Peter 3:18)
