We would love to hear from you in our Guestbook!

Here's what's happening at Glenwood . . .
August 30, 2010

It has been a week of sorrow in losing one of our faithful men (Bro. L. J. Adams: retired Pastor), and rejoicing as we witnessed a packed house for his funeral service.  It has also been a week of joy and excitement as we took on another full-time staff-member in hiring Bro. Tony Figueroa as our full-time "Youth-Director / Assistant to the Pastor".  We are grateful to have someone "on-board" who has shown themselves faithful, loyal and dedicated to the Lord, Glenwood Baptist Church and our youth!  Bro. Tony "saddles-up" on Wednesday, September 1, 2010.  We all know that Bro. Tony, along with his family, have been faithful at Glenwood as Charter Members, and will be a great blessing as he takes the reigns of this full-time staff position ministering to our teens.

As for yesterday's services; we rejoice in the presence of the Lord always at Glenwood.  The "Convicting Power of the Holy Spirit" is never taken for granted...and we experienced that again yesterday morning as the Lord dealt with us from Proverbs 3:6 "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."  It was believed by many that last night's "Singing & Supper" was the best we've ever had.  EVERY song, EVERY piano solo, EVERY person who gave of themselves was used of God to MINISTER to all of us.  We all agreed that God was glorified by the words, as well as the melody of every song.  One man said, "I could not have enjoyed a concert in New York, or anywhere else as much as I enjoyed both the message in every song, and the talent that I saw and heard from every person."  We are surely blessed with dedicated members, as well as talented members!!!

Prayerfully, Bro. Paul
(Ecclesiastes 11:6)
